Photography has opened up a whole new world of wonder for me, and for my husband who often shoots with me. Our approach is very different, but the goal always the same; to capture beauty as it happens, and share it with those who took part in it.
My name is Amanda Worsham Kishlar. Born in Hendersonville, NC, I have always been fortunate enough to call Appalachia my home. My creative side has always been dominant, so naturally I was drawn to a liberal arts education. I studied art at Brevard College, nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. Well-equipped with the knowledge of composition, color theory, and art history, I graduated with my BA in 2007. Upon graduation, my father gave me a beautiful piece of advice. He said, "Find what you love and do it, and you will never have to work a day in your life." As with all wisdom from my dad, I'm finding it to be true.
